The story is that this scent was discovered in a vat labeled “Love Oil” in the late 50’s. Reintroduced in 1963, Kiehl’s Original Musk Blend is for both men and women, is hard enough to find to be a great Christmas gift, and is available at Amazon for $37.00. Lovely.

Butterball Bath Bomb

Make sure his or her bath is the bomb with a Butterball Bath Bomb from Lush, definitely one of the coolest bath and body product companies today. Filled with Vanilla and Cocoa Butter goodness, this bomb “explodes” very gently in your bathwater, moisturizing your skin and turning your bath into a luxury.
If, like me and thousands of other women around the world, you have sensitive skin, you must try Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser. Until I discovered this, I’d been using Cetaphil, which- while it “worked” in the sense that it didn’t contribute to my facial redness or irritate my skin- never left my skin with the glow that Purity does.
It removes makeup wonderfully, and in the past 5 months, has never given me a breakout. Highly recommended!
Available at Amazon through our store for $20 for the 8-ounce bottle and $32 for the 16-ounce bottle.
Since my birthday, I’ve been on a bit of a shopping spree… all that birthday money was burning a hole in my pocket! Among my many recent purchases was Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer (in Nude, which is just right for my fair to medium skintone).
It’s a product that’s been raved about by beauty editors and makeup artists everywhere- and now I know why. Suddenly, my sensitive, dry, flaky skin is smooth and silky and dare I say- dewy.
The tinted moisturizer comes in an oil-free version, and you should try both before making a decision. Highly, highly recommended.
Shu Uemura’s eyelash curler has won numerous “best-of” beauty awards, including Town & Country’s Top 150 Best Beauty Products. Despite this, I’ve been happily curling my super-straight lashes with my pair of drugstore-purchased Revlon curlers.
Then… I saw this:

It’s Shu Uemura’s 15th anniversary Precious Metals’ edition of their classic curler, finished in 24k gold. Isn’t it glorious, and just perfect to adorn the top of my dresser?
They’ve also released a Black Nickel version if gold doesn’t quite do it for you.
