Hello, 2008.
I partied a little too hard on New Year’s Eve, lost my voice, and have been in bed for the past few days. Thank god for the husband, who plied me with much tea and sympathy, and- perhaps best of all- has been watching Sex and the City on DVD with me. Prettifying our home office
My husband and I both work from home, out of the small but cozy spare room we have. Because we never meant it to be a permanent home office, it’s the least “decorated” space we have. We’re talking computers, printers, big heavy desks and not much else.
But all that’s about to change. We’re going to prettify our home office, darn it! It’s where we spend most of our days, so it makes sense.
Here’s some inspiration we’ve found lately:

Ooh La La Swivel Chairs from PBTeen

Traditional Brass Bankers Lamp from Amazon. Because I have a weakness for these things.
Stapler without staples
Anyone who’s ever cut themselves on a staple knows that it hurts. Enter the staple-free stapler fron Uncommon Goods, which fuse your paper by punching a small, neat hole in your documents and folding the remaining flaps together for a secure binding. Safe for kids, better for the environment… and quite cool looking, if we may add.
Sold as a set of two, one blue and one green.
