Celebrating the Lego Brick

Google LegoToday, Google is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the LEGO brick- and I thought I’d do the same, with a feature on some of my favorite LEGO products that are available online. I firmly believe you’re never too old for LEGO (as is proven by the LEGO Tour Eiffel featured here!)… and I needed a break from all the Valentine’s shopping anyway! Keep Reading »

DS Lite Loving

It’s not like me to be so adamant about receiving a particular gift on my birthday, but this year I had to insist: I wanted a Nintendo DS Lite- especially after I spent a few hours playing with my younger sister’s unit.

The thing is, photos don’t do it justice. The long list of games made for it doesn’t do it justice. You have to hold one in one hand, stylus in the other, to really appreciate the beauty of this little gaming gem.

Nintendo DS Lite

It comes in quite a few colors- from Polar White (my choice because it, um, matches my MacBook), to Coral Pink (my second choice), to Onyx Black, to the newly released (and very sexy) Crimson and Black.

With Christmas coming up, this would make one h** of a stocking stuffer… and don’t forget to throw in a few games: New Super Mario Bros., the latest Legend of Zelda (hours of fun, I promise!), and Brain Age should do the trick.

The DS Lite is $129.99 at Amazon, and is a much, much better buy than the original DS, no matter what anyone else tells you. Go ahead and get that Wii for your family- this one’s for you.

Pimp your Wii

God I love the Wii. Without it, I would never have known the joys of swinging my arm in the air while trying to knock down bowling pins and flicking my wrist just so to hit that tennis ball.

Pimp your WiiThese Silicone Skin Cases for your wiimote and nunchuks (such cute words!) offer the following features:

  • Protect your Nintendo Wii Remote and Nunchuk and get a better grip on your game playing
  • Comes in a set of two (one for the Wiimote and one for the Nunchuk)
  • Skin Covers are skin tight silicone covers custom tailored to fit your remote controllers and Nunchuk
  • Skin Covers protect your remote controllers from scratches and minor bumps
  • Precise cut-out openings for all buttons and sensor

And they’re on sale right now for $4.99 (down from $24.95)!

Stylish? I’m not so sure- but definitely, definitely kawaii.
