Magazines for 2008

I’ll admit it: I’m a magazine junkie. I’ve got piles and piles of magazines in various shelves around the house, much to my husband’s dismay. This year, I’m weeding out subscriptions to magazines I’ve lost interest in (e.g. Cosmo, Utne Reader), and – yay! – getting new ones. Here’s a peek at what I am subscribing to:

I like Lucky an I Love Oprah’s magazine, but for some reason I’ve just never been a fan of Vogue. I’m also a fan of Allure. I’ll have to look into Domino…I’ve never heard of it.

Hi Nichole! Domino is one of my favorite magazines, definitely the best of the home and decorating genre. I haven’t read Allure in ages, but now that you reminded me, I think I’ll pick up a copy tomorrow… thanks for visiting

I’m surprised Marie Claire isn’t one of those. They have a great podcast I subscribe to for free. Nowadays I’m into a lot of UK mags like Eve, Red, She and Company. Like the UK versions of Elle and Instyle a lot better. Elle Decor and Metropolitan Home are at the top of my home pubs- which does include Domino. So are Elle Accessories and WWD.

Hi DivaM! I actually promised myself that I would ONLY subscribe to 8 magazines… I do enjoy Marie Claire when I see it at friends’ houses
Oh, and I also LOVE UK mags- especially Company- when I can get my hands on them! I need to check out Elle Accessories. Thanks!
