Purple Chair

There’s something a bit Alice in Wonderland-y about this Salon Chair in Jangala Purple. A piece of furniture that adds a little whimsy to a room and looks wonderfully comfortable is a winner to me. $2900 at Artful Home.

My Favorite Lipstick: Clinique Berry Freeze

If there’s one thing I can’t leave the house without, it’s lipstick. And it’s usually this lipstick, Clinique’s Long Last Soft Shine Lipstick in Berry Freeze. It’s part of the “Nudes” color group, and is described as “A mid tone warm red brown berry.”- a description that doesn’t even hint at how much this gorgeous, smooth and satiny lipstick can brighten up your face and make you more lovely.

Gorgeous Rugs on Sale

I am definitely no longer a “teen”, but one of my favorite online shops has to be Pottery Barn Teen (or PBTeen). They’re running a sale on some of the prettiest rugs right now, including this Nottingham Floral Rug, which is down to $499 from its regular price of $599. That’s for the 8×10 foot size, which would be perfect in any room. In my house, anyway.

Loving: Arden B. Dresses

So I haven’t posted about dresses in a while- and the truth is that I’ve been more comfy in my jeans lately. But seriously, check out the adorable dresses over at Arden B. (not to be confused with Agnes B., of course). Shown here, the Animal Print Ruffle Dress ($88).

Twilight DVD

I’m not ashamed to admit it: on our four year anniversary, my husband and I watched Twilight. Okay, so I took him to watch it- but he really didn’t resist either. He even enjoyed himself.

I never thought the books were well-written, but I did find the story engaging. The movie, on the other hand, was done very well. And Robert Pattinson? Mmm.

Not surprising, then, to show you what I’ve just ordered: the two-disc special edition of Twilight- which means more Edward and Bella around here. And just look at what’s included:

Audio commentary by Catherine Hardwicke, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson (!)
Muse music video: “Super Massive Black Hole”
Paramore music video: “Decode”
Linkin Park music video: “Leave Out All the Rest”
Five extended scenes with director introductions
Five deleted scenes with director introductions
Seven-part documentary: “The Adventure Begins: The Journey from Page to Screen”
Comic-Con “fandom” piece
Comic-Con NY sizzle reel
Three trailers
Penelope trailer

The two-disc Twilight Special Edition DVD is $22.99 from Amazon »

P.S. While you’re at it, go ahead and order the Twilight Soundtrack- an awesome collection of tunes, and one of my favorite soundtracks ever.
